Elderflower Womenspirit Festival
is
A gathering of women, young and old.
Daughters, Mothers, Grandmothers, Sisters,
and Aunties, long-time Friends and brand-new Friends.
A time for ritual, a time for drumming, dancing, singing, creating crafts, learning and teaching, and a time for relaxing among the tall trees in The Mendocino Woodlands.
A 5 day camp held in the Redwoods with rustic cabins or tent camping, gourmet meals, and hot showers.
A grassroots volunteer-run event. There are no paid staff, presenters or entertainers. Expect a participatory spiritual experience; the rituals, workshops, entertainment and other activities are created by the women who attend.
Every woman is encouraged to bring her own unique talents and contribute to the diversity of the festival by leading and participating in workshops, rituals and other activities.
Elderflower Womenspirit Festival is a non-denominational gathering. Women of any spiritual path are welcome to participate.
The festival was founded to celebrate and to honor the Goddess and the sacredness of nature. By whatever name we choose to call Her, we hold Her as a symbol of the Divine Feminine. Our rituals and workshops help us to invoke that energy, and through sisterhood, get closer to the deity within each of us.
As part of the goddess-centered nature of Elderflower we do not invoke male deities at the festival.
