A Maiden is any young girl or woman who is in the seeking phase.
Maidens are searching for who they are in the world, how to connect with the world, how to connect with their inner knowing and with their own higher power (highest self).
Elderflower Womenspirit’s Maiden program focuses on girls under 18.
Maidens’ Passage Ritual
At Elderflower Womenspirit Festival, Maidens who are ready to acknowledge and celebrate the changes that come to them as they grow and mature, are encouraged to ask for their grandmothers, mothers, aunts and mentors to plan a ritual at the festival. Such rituals provide young women an opportunity to receive needed gifts of encouragement, support and guidance as they embark on the beginning of their spiritual path through life.
